LAMH Recycle provides workplace opportunities, within a real and supportive environment, for individuals who face significant barriers to employment. They provide a number of recycling services – WEEE/computers, cardboard/paper and cans alongside a PC Sales and repair operation.
LAMH Recycle Ltd provides core, personal and occupational skills development opportunities within a real but supportive work environment for individuals facing a range of barriers to employment.
They provide the necessary support to make people more “opportunity ready” and able to benefit from progression to mainstream opportunities. The work activity not only provides occupational skills/experience but also addresses core/personal skills barriers by improving team working, communication and problem solving which in turn positively improves employability issues such as timekeeping/attendance, low self esteem, lack of confidence and motivation.
SUPPORT RECEIVED FROM SFS
SFS has supported LAMH Recycle from their early development days through to the present providing business support, promotion in the SFS Ebulletin,free tickets to sector events, a place at 2 SFS residentials for Social Firm managers and also through promotion of LAMH Recycle to relevant policy makers.
In 2015, LAMH were also also winner’s of SFS’s 15th Anniversary competition, receiving £1,500 in prize money to contribute to the development of their purpose and their people.
